Bergeron Vs Valuev at the end of September
If Bergeron stays unbeaten after his june 15th fight against Domonic Jenkins on the Montreal Canada Grand Prix II boxing card, then he is the most likely opponent for Valuev at the end of september.

This would be an eliminatory fight or the WBA title. After that fight at the end of september between the two, ruslan chagaev would have between 90 to 120 days to fight the winner.

Chagaev Vs Valuev

Stephane Larouche, trainer of J-F Bergeron

"Valuev sees this fight as a very easy contest, and an opportunity to prepare for his second fight against lefty chagaev since bergeron is a lefty too. If this fight gets signed, Valuev will have a way tougher fight than he expects."

Jean-Francois Bergeron (26-0-0)

"Im faster, and more mobile than Valuev. Im also very effective defensively so it will be easy to defend against his right hands."

Bergeron will have to be dominant against Jenkins on june 15th when he`ll defend his NABA belt if he wants to land that fight against Valuev. The fight will be presented on the undercard of Lucian Bute Vs Sakio Bika, a fight that will be shown on Friday Night fights on ESPN2.

Jean-Francois Bergeron

"Jenkins is almost as tall as me, et after viewing one of his fight, he seems to hit pretty hard with his right hand. Im taking this fight very seriously. Im not thinking about Valuev right now, im focusing on Jenkins."

Jenkins lost all his fights against top level of opposition. He lost agaist:

Eddie Chambers (26-0-0)

Taurus Sykes (23-2-1)

and Chris Arreola (12-0-0)

Bergeron was supposed to fight Kevin McBride on june 15th, but Mcbride had to withdraw from the fight due to an hand injury.
