Don King confirmed to Yvon Michel (Joachim Alcine's promoter) that the Travis Simms Vs. Joachim Alcine for the light middleweight WBA title will take place on july 7th, at the Bridgeport Harbour Yard arena in Connecticut. The fight will be broadcasted on the Showtime network.







Simms was WBA champ in 2004 but lost his title following a legal dispute with the organization. He won the title back by defeating Jose Rivera on january 6th in Miami. Alcine became Simms mandatory by defeating Argentenian Javier Mamani at the Uniprix stadium of the Jarry park.
