The Cobra strikes in 2
Fighing in front of his Nottingham fans on Friday night, Carl 'The Cobra' Froch produced a venemous display of boxing and punching to dismantle an opponent known for his durability. The Russian Sergey Tatevosyan came into the ring as a man never before stopped who'd taken worldclass fighters such as Howard Eastman and Lucian Bute the full route, but he was wiped out in 2 rounds by a dominant Froch.

Froch was looking to make a statement in this fight and this he did with a controlled yet powerful display. The Nottingham man came out looking focused and intense in the first round. His concentration was impressive as he never allowed the Russian visitor to settle immediatly testing his chin.

Then in the second Froch simply went up through the gears and Tatevosyan never knew what hit him. Froch using all his awkward skills, punished the Russian as he stepped the intensity up and it was no suprise to see Tatevosyan dropped from a vicious right hand to the chin. He got up but Froch pounced on his wonded prey and rained in 14 unanswered blows and that was that as the referee decided he'd seen enough. It was possibly stopped fractionally early, but tellingly the Russian offered no complaints and looked relieved it was all over.

Carl Froch Vs. Sergey Tatevosyan 2nd round KO

After the fight Froch called out Joe Calzaghe and Mikkel Kessler and although he won't be getting those fights just yet.....i think its safe to say that 'The Cobra' with his combination of power, reflexes, speed and confidence, has emerged as a genuine threat to anyone at the weight.
