The chances of seeing that fight in Montreal just became more probable. The obtention of the rights to present this obligatory defense of the WBA world title between the American Travis Simms (24-0-0) and the Canadian Joachim Alcine (28-0-0) will now go into bidding since promoter Don King wasnt able to sign a contract with one of the major boxing networks.





Don King had until march 18th, sunday to sign a deal, but now, the bidding will be held at 11:00 am, march 29th, in Panama where the main office of the WBA is.





Since Simms had refused the initial agreement Don King and Yvon Michel (Joachim Alcine promoter)had signed because as a champ, he wants to defend his title in USA, King was forced to test the market with major networks, but now that the time is up, King is left with not much choices.
