During the three-day period of Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1, six boxers ranked by TTR as being among the best currently fighting in their respective weight classes were in action. Four, Jack Massey, Liam Smith, Shakur Stevenson, and Brandon Glanton, won while two, Fedor Chudinov and Oscar Valdez, lost.

Stevenson clearly outpointed Valdez to win the Lineal World junior lightweight title which had been vacant since Manny Pacquiao moved up to the lightweight division in June of 2008.

- After several warnings, Abdugofurov, who also owns a win for Chudinov's brother, Dmitrii, was penalized one point in round 8.
- The point deduction had no bearing on the outcome as Abdugofurov won by the scores of 98-91, 97-92, and 97-93.
- There were varying opinions regarding Abdugofurov's victory. Transnational Boxing Rankings Board member Alexey Sukachev, writing for BoxingScene.com, termed it "a sound upset" while TTR founder Antoine Patry DesLauriers labeled it "a robbery."

- Smith came into this bout off his October 9, 2021 TKO-8 win over Anthony Fowler.
- Smith weighed in at 153; Vargas at a career-high of 154.
- Both fighters suffered cuts during the bout.
- Smith gradually wore Vargas down and battered him in rounds 9 and 10 to force the stoppage.
