TTR-ranked Jayson Mama Wins on Undercard of Paras-Paradero Draw

Earlier today, at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City, Cotabato del Sur, Philippines, former IBF World flyweight title challenger Jayson Mama returned to action, winning an 8-round, stay-active junior bantamweight bout. The TTR #19 ranked Mama fought on the undercard of a promotion headlined by a match between former world title challengers Vince Paras and Robert Paradero.

Paras, now fighting as a flyweight, had challenged for the IBF World mini-flyweight title in 2018, losing by decision to Hiroto Kyoguchi. Paradero had shots as both the WBA World minimumweight and WBA Super World minimumweight titles last year, losing by split decision to Vic Saludar and by TKO-5 to Thammanoon Niyomtrong (AKA Knockout CP Freshmart).

Paras and Paradero battled to a split decision stalemate.

- Paras weighed in at 110; Paradero at 109.
- The scores were 96-94 for Paradero, 98-92 for Paras, and 95-95.

- Tepora floored Betos twice- once in round 1 and once in round 2.
- Betos is now 1-21-1 in his last 23 bouts.
