Pictured: World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury

During the two-day period of Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24, four fighters ranked by TTR as being among the best currently competing in their respective weight classes were in action. Three, World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Jeremias Nicolas Ponce, and Sho Ishida, won by TKO while one, Dillian Whyte, was TKOed (by Fury).

Saturday, April 23, 2022-

Wembley, London, England-

Lineal, Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and The Ring World Heavyweight Titles-
Champion Tyson Fury (TTR #6 P4P, Transnational Boxing Rankings Board #6 P4P; 32-0-1, 23 KOs)
TKO-6 2:59
Dillian Whyte (TTR #3, Transnational Boxing Rankings Board #3, The Ring #4; 28-3, 19 KOs)
- Fury thoroughly outboxed Whyte, who was cut above his right eye in round 4.
- Near the end of the sixth round, Fury dropped Whyte with a huge right uppercut. Whyte managed to make it to his feet but was clearly in no condition to continue. The referee wisely stopped the contest.

Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany-

Junior Welterweight Bout-
Jeremias Nicolas Ponce (TTR #15; 30-0, 20 KOs)
KO-3
Achiko Odikadze (23-21-1, 8 KOs)
- The 22-year-old Georgian southpaw Odikadze was a late substitute, replacing substitute opponent Placido Ramirez.
- Ponce was originally scheduled to fight Bazargur Jugder (then 3-3-1, 2 KOs). However, Ponce's manager, Albert Zacarias, nixed the bout, deeming the 42-year-old Czech Republic-based Mongolian not to be a suitable opponent for Ponce. Ramirez (17-2, 10 KOs) was then signed to replace Jugder. Unfortunately, before departing for Germany, Ramirez tested positive for COVID-19 and had to quarantine in his native Colombia.
- Incidentally, Jugder, after being dropped from the match with Ponce, was able to secure another bout. On April 22, in Bytom, Poland, he lost that bout, a six-rounder, to Aleksander Jasiewicz (4-1, 0 KOs) by unanimous decision.

Sunday, April 24, 2022-

Osaka, Osaka, Japan-

Bantamweight Bout-
Sho Ishida (TTR #17 at 115; 30-3, 16 KOs)
TKO-8 1:20
Carlo Demecillo (15-6-1, 8 KOs)
- Ishida weighed in at 117 3/4; Demecillo at 116.
