Michel Soro (35-3-1, 24 KOs)
- This bout was a WBA World super welterweight title eliminator.
- Soro was fighting for the first time since November 15, 2019 when he stopped Cedric Vitu in the fifth round.
- As reported by Alexey Sukachev of, Madrimov hurt Soro with a right near the end of the 9th round. His followup attack drove Soro to the ropes where he continued to land punches on the French veteran.
- The ending of the bout, again according to Mr. Sukachev's report, was controversial. Madrimov continued punching after the bell sounded. It appeared that it was then that referee Salvador Rodriguez (AKA Salvador Salva) stopped the bout. Protests from Soro's corner ensued. After the local officials conferred, the referee's stoppage was upheld and Madrimov was awarded a TKO victory.

- Beterbiev's IBF and WBC World light heavyweight titles were also at stake.
- Both fighters were cut by an accidental clash of heads in the fourth round.
- Beterbiev dropped Browne with a combination to the head and body in round 7.
- In round 9, Beterbiev dropped Browne again with a combination, the final punch of which was a shot to the liver. Browne was unable to beat the ten-count.
