Batyrgaziev and Agrba Win in Russia

On Monday, October 11, in the co-main events on a card held in Ufa, Russia, Olympic Gold Medalist Albert Batyrgaziev and super lightweight/welterweight prospect Khariton Agrba remained undefeated in the pro ranks.

Featherweight Bout-

Albert Batyrgaziev (4-0, 4 KOs)

Suat Laze (25-8-1, 7 KOs)
- Batyrgaziev was in charge for most of the 4:57 the bout lasted.
- The 41-year-old veteran Laze injured his left shoulder throwing a left hook. He was in visible pain as he was counted out.
- With the win, the 23-year-old Batyrgaziev, who won a Gold Medal in the Summer Olympics, added the vacant WBO Europe featherweight title to his resume.

Welterweight Bout-

Khariton Agrba (6-0, 3 KOs)

Andrey Maik (7-1, 1 KO)
- The 25-year-old Agrba weighed in at 142 1/2. Maik, 27, weighed in at 143.
- Agrba, who has held both the WBA Fedecaribe welterweight and WBA Continental super lightweight titles during his brief professional career, applied constant pressure. He punished Maik more and more each round. After five rounds, Maik had had enough and retired in his corner.
