TTR RANKED FIGHTERS IN ACTION- September 1- Ioka Outpoints Rodriguez

Earlier today, two junior bantamweights ranked by TTR, the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and The Ring as bona fide Top Ten contenders for Juan Francisco Estrada's world title faced off at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. After twelve competitive rounds, #3 ranked Kazuto Ioka won by unanimous decision over #7 ranked Francisco Rodriguez, Jr.

Francisco "Chihuas" Rodriguez, Jr. (TTR #7, Transnational Boxing Rankings Board #7, The Ring #7; 34-5-1, 24 KOs)

- This hard-fought, competitive bout was contested for Ioka's WBO World junior bantamweight title.

- All three judges scored the bout 116-112 for Ioka.

- Scoring the bout for TTR, I had it a bit closer, 115-113, with Rodriguez winning 4 of the first 5 rounds and Ioka winning 6 of the last 7.

- Ioka improved to 18-2 with 10 KOs in major organizational world title bouts and 9-2 with 4 KOs against fighters who hold or held world titles.

- Rodriguez is now 2-2 with 1 KO in major organizational world title bouts and 5-4 with 2 KOs against fighters who hold or held world titles.
