- The bout was fought for the vacant WBA Asia title.
- Gassiev decked Wallisch late in round 4.

Junior Flyweight Bout-
Riku Kano (18-4-1, 9 KOs)

Takumi Sakae (22-4-1, 16 KOs)
- Sakae decked defending WBO Asia Pacific champion Kano in round 2 and again in round 4.
- Recovering in round 5, Kano took control in the sixth round with a body attack which he also relied upon in rounds 7 and 8.
- Kano increased the level of punishment he inflicted on Sakae in the ninth round until the referee rescued the visibly drained challenger.
