Yesterday, at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, TTR #6 ranked super welterweight contender Tim Tszyu dropped late substitute Stevie Sparks twice before stopping him in the third round and super featherweight Joe Noynay, ending a 19-month layoff, decked previously undefeated prospect Liam Wilson four times on the way to scoring a fifth round TKO.

Tszyu retained his WBO Global title and won the vacant Commonwealth championship while Noynay retained his WBO Asia Pacific title.
