Yamauchi Retains Title at Korakuen Hall

Earlier today at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan, in a bout featuring fighters not currently ranked by TTR which may impact TTR's rankings, Ryota Yamauchi made his first successful defense of the WBO Asia Pacific flyweight title. Relying on a powerful body attack, Yamauchi stopped skillful challenger Yuta Nakayama in the seventh round.
