During the two-day period of Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13, eight boxers ranked by TTR as being among the best currently competing in their respective weight classes. Seven, Carlos Adames, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, David Benavidez, Isaac Cruz, Kudratillo Abdukakhorov, Lineal World junior bantamweight champion Juan Francisco Estrada, and Hiroto Kyoguchi, won and one, Roman Gonzalez, despite an outstanding performance, lost (to Estrada).
