On Saturday, October 3, in Islamabad, Pakistan, on a card promoted by Amir Khan, 20-year-old Usman "Asian Boy" Wazeer knocked out Indonesian veteran Boida Bulldozer (AKA Boido Simanjuntak) in the tenth round to win the vacant Asian Boxing Federation welterweight title. Two of the supporting bouts, both non-title contests, resulted in victories for Pakistani national champions Nadir Baloch and Muhmmad Bilal (AKA Bilal Mehsud).
