Mikaela Mayer Outpoints Helen Joseph at The Bubble

Last night at The Bubble at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, former U.S. Olympian Mikaela Mayer unanimously outpointed U. S.-based Nigerian veteran Helen Joseph over 10 rounds. The once-postponed bout had been elevated to main event status when Jamel Herring's defense of the WBO World junior lightweight title versus veteran contender Jonathan Oquendo was postponed for the second time.

In other bouts on the card, middleweight "Cassius" Clay Collard stopped Lorawnt T. "Smash" Nelson in the second round; Colombian lightweight Ruben Cervera unanimously outpointed Clay Burns over six rounds; and debuting Javier Martinez outscored Jonathan Burrs in a middleweight four-rounder.
