On Wednesday, July 1, super lightweight Aram Faniian and middleweight Stanyslav Skorokhod won the featured contests on the first boxing card held in Kiev since February. Boxing had returned to Ukraine on June 21 with a card in Odessa but this card, held at Club Atlas, was the first in the nation's capital and largest city since a 12-bout card headlined by middleweight prospect Bohdan Sobol took place at Club Gong on February 16.

The five-bout Sparta Boxing Promotions card at Club Atlas saw Faniian and Skorokhod prevail in scheduled eight-rounders, heavyweight Ihor Shevadzutskyi end matters early in a bout slated for six rounds, and cruiserweight Andrii Isakov and debuting welterweight Bohdan Shtonda win in fights scheduled for four frames.

- The 23-year-old Faniian has won all four of his bouts since his UD 10 loss to Rene Tellez Giron in 2018.

- Skorokhod, 31, was fighting for the first time in 2020. He won both of his 2019 matches (KO-2 over Jose Luis Zuniga and TKO-9 over Anthony Lenk). Both of those bouts took place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
