Saucedo and Vargas Win on Points at The Bubble

Last night at The Bubble at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, former WBO World junior welterweight title challenger Alex Saucedo unanimously outpointed Sonny Fredrickson over 10 rounds in the main event. In the co-feature, reigning IBF North American junior welterweight champion Josue Vargas, fighting in a non-title ten-rounder, won by unanimous decision over journeyman Salvador Briceno.

In the other two bouts on the Top Rank-promoted, ESPN-televised card, junior welterweight prospect John Bauza remained unbeaten by unanimously outpointing Lawrence James Fryers over eight rounds and middleweight Isiah Jones defeated Donte Stubbs by majority decision after six rounds.
