Last night in Mexico City, TTR #1 ranked super featherweight Miguel Berchelt, the reigning WBC World super featherweight champion, stopped Eleazar Valenzuela in the 6th round of a scheduled 10-round, non-title lightweight bout. In the card's co-feature, undefeated super lightweight Omar Aguilar blitzed veteran Dante "Crazy" Jardon in the first round.

In the other bouts on the card, up-and-coming super bantamweight/featherweight David Picasso unanimously outpointed Florentino "Violento" Perez over eight rounds, Ruben Aguilar, Omar's younger brother, unanimously outpointed Emmanuel Herrera over six rounds, and Rafael Espinoza TKOed Luis Guzman.

- Berchelt, 28, of Merida, Yucatan, weighed in at 135; Valenzuela, 25, at 135 1/2.
- Berchelt dropped Valenzuela in round one and battered the game journeyman from Guasave, Sinaloa until the bout was finally stopped in round six.

- Aguilar, a 21-year-old knockout artist from Ensenada, Baja California, weighed in at 140. The 32-year-old Jardon, a former world title challenger as a super featherweight, weighed in at 141.
- Aguilar rattled Jardon with a right. The hard-hitting prospect followed it up with a fusillade of punishing shots. After a left hook left the veteran from Mexico City dazed, the referee stopped the bout less than a minute after it began.
