Navarrete Stops Lopez; Palomares Upsets Ornelas

Last night at the Gimnasio TV Azteca in Mexico City, WBO World junior featherweight champion Emanuel Navarrete "tested the waters" at 126 by stopping journeyman Uriel Lopez and featherweight Edwin Palomares scored an upset TKO over Carlos Ornelas.

In other bouts on the card, WBA Interim World female light flyweight champion shut out Edith de Jesus Flores over 8 rounds in a non-title flyweight contest, featherweight Sergio Sanchez knocked out Alan Pina, and flyweight Ivan Garcia outpointed Roberto Palomares.
