Flores Outpoints Ruiz at The Bubble
Pictured: Gabriel Flores, Jr.

Last night, unbeaten prospect Gabriel Flores, Jr. (18-0, 6 KOs) unanimously outpointed Josec Ruiz (21-3-3, 14 KOs) over 10 rounds at The Bubble at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Flores, Jr.-Ruiz had been elevated to main event status after the card's original main event, the Jose Pedraza (26-3, 13 KOs) vs. Mikkel LesPierre (22-1-1, 10 KOs) super lightweight contest, was canceled because LesPierre's manager, Jose Taveras, tested positive for COVID-19.

Upset artist Clay Collard, fighting as a super middleweight, sliced and battered previously undefeated California-based Israeli prospect David Kaminsky. The outcome seemed obvious but Collard had to be content with a split decision victory. Kaminsky was rushed to a hospital after the bout.

In the other bouts on the Top Rank-promoted, ESPN-televised card, a trio of prospects remained unbeaten. Bantamweight Robert Rodriguez stopped previously unbeaten Adrian Servin; super lightweight Victor Rodriguez shut out winless Justin Horsley; and super featherweight Frevian Gonzalez outpointed previously unbeaten Jose Martinez.
