Since January 19, only one boxing card, a three-bout promotion held in Gimpo on April 26, had taken place in South Korea. This past weekend, three cards, totaling 17 bouts, were held.

On Saturday, heavyweights Hyun Jun Kim, who had fought on the Gimpo card, and Man Suk Lee headlined at the Shindo Gymnasium in Namyangju while welterweight prospect Min Hyuk Jang was showcased at the Road Boxing Gym in Siheung.

On Sunday, at the Star Boxing Club in Pocheon, welterweight Hwang Kook Je fought in the main event and the undercard included the anticipated pro debuts of 16-year-old super featherweight Yoo Chan Lee and South Korea-based American super lightweight Nicholas Ray Perez.
