Former IBF World junior middleweight champion "King" Carlos Molina promoted and headlined the first pro boxing card held in Mexico since March 14. Saturday night in Patzcuaro, Michoacan de Ocampo, Molina stopped Michi Munoz after dominating the veteran for six rounds while in the co-feature, Alejandro "Pajaro" Davila knocked out journeyman Nestor Fernando Garcia in the ninth round.

Molina, winning his third consecutive bout, improved to 32-11-2 with 11 KOs. Munoz dropped to 27-11-1 with 18 KOs.

Davila had lost for the first time in his previous bout. On November 23, 2019, he was stopped by defending WBO NABO and IBF North American welterweight champion Mikael Zewski in the 10th and final round. He bounced back against Garcia, raising his record to 20-1-2 with 8 KOs. Garcia, coming in off a February 14, 2020 TKO-10 loss to Molina, saw his record fall to 23-21-1 with 17 KOs.

Mexico is gradually re-opening after suffering over 117,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and nearly 14,000 related deaths. Both of those totals are seen as being low because testing has been limited in parts of the country.
