On Friday, January 31, two TTR ranked boxers fought for the vacant WBC World cruiserweight title. Ilunga Makabu won a well-earned unanimous decision over Michal Cieslak after twelve hard-fought rounds to become the new WBC champion.

In addition, in a bout featuring two fighters not currently ranked TTR which may impact TTR's featherweight rankings, Ruben Villa unanimously outpointed Alexei Collado over ten rounds.
