On December 31, at the Guangzhou Olongbao Stadium in Guangzhou, China, undefeated Macao super flyweight prospect Lap Cheong Cheong passed his sternest test as a pro by edging Changsa, China's Yinhuan Su over 10 rounds. Two days ago, Jun Zhao, of Da Lian, China, continued to demonstrate the tremendous progress he has made since his decision loss to Su in 2017. Fighting at City Stadium in DiaoBingShan, China, the world-ranked Zhao made his first defense of the WBA Asia bantamweight title a successful one by stopping Jay Francis "Kid" Buray of the Philippines in the second round.
