Zerafa Upsets Horn/Magsayo Outpoints Pungluang Sor Singyu/Gaballo Halts Vargas

On Saturday, August 31, three bouts featuring fighters not currently ranked by TTR but which may impact TTR's rankings took place. The bouts were won by Michael Zerafa, Mark Magsayo, and Reymart Gaballo. Zerafa won the WBA Oceania middleweight title by stopping heavily favored former WBO World welterweight champion Jeff Horn, undefeated Mark Magsayo won the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council featherweight title with a one-sided decision over former two-time WBO World bantamweight champion Pungluang Sor Singyu, and unbeaten former WBA Interim World bantamweight champion Reymart Gaballo stopped Colombian prospect Yeison Vargas. Vargas, who won his first seventeen professional bouts, has now suffered consecutive defeats.
