TTR RANKED FIGHTERS IN ACTION- July 18 & 19- Mendy Wins/Dadashev Defeated/Lopez Outpoints Nakatani

During the two-day period of Thursday, July 18 and Friday, July 19, four fighters ranked by the participating members of TTR as being among the best currently campaigning in their respective weight classes were in action. Two, Yves Mendy and Teofimo Lopez, won and two, Maxim Dadashev and Masayoshi Nakatani, lost. Dadashev absorbed a great deal of punishment and had to be rushed to a hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

Maxim Dadashev (IBF #3, WBC #4, TTR #13; 13-1, 11 KOs)
- Matias inflicted heavy punishment during the latter part of the fight.
- Dadashev's trainer, James "Buddy" McGirt, advised the referee to stop the bout before the start of the 12th round.
- After vomiting and being unable to walk to his dressing room, Dadashev was rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital. He lost consciousness on the way there. He later underwent two hours of emergency surgery to relieve the swelling on his brain.
