During the two-day period of Friday, August 17 and Saturday, August 18, five bouts featuring fighters not currently ranked by TTR which may impact TTR's rankings in the near future took place. Thise bouts were won by Satoshi Shimizu, Akira Yaegashi, Christian Araneta, Bryant Jennings, and Carlos Cuadras.

- Kawamura is ranked #5 at 122 by the JBC and #10 at 126 by the OPBF.

Super Flyweight Bout-
Akira Yaegashi (IBF #6, The Ring #8, WBA #12, WBO #12- all at 108; WBC #16 at 115; 27-6, 15 KOs)

Hirofumi Mukai (WBO #14, WBC #37- both at 115; 16-6-3, 6 KOs)
- This was former three-divisional world champion Yaegashi's second bout in his campaign to win a fourth divisional world title. The first took place this past March 26. Yaegashi, weighing in at 114 3/4, stopped Indonesian veteran Frans Damur Palue in the second round.
- Yaegashi's previous world titles were won at 105 (WBA), 112 (lineal, WBC, The Ring), and 108 (IBF).
- Yaegashi weighed in at 114 1/2; Mukai at 115.
- Both Yaegashi and Mukai are ranked at 115 by the IBO- Yaegashi at #15; Mukai at #46. Mukai is also ranked #7 at 115 by the OPBF.

- Araneta was leading by the scores of 107-102, 108-101, and 108-101 going into the 12th round.
- Araneta, a southpaw nicknamed "The Bomb", knocked Tomogdan out in the final seconds of the bout.

- Jennings was down in round 4 but he rallied to floor Dimitrenko three times- twice in round 8 and once in round 9.
