- Catterall floored McKenna three times and went on to win by the scores of 94-93, 94-93, and 95-91.

Leonardo Zappavigna (WBO #7; 37-4, 27 KOs)
- Saucedo and Zappavigna suffered cuts during the slugfest.
- Saucedo floored Zappavigna in round 3 but was battered by the former IBO World lightweight champion in round 4.
- Saucedo outboxed Zappavigna in round 5 and then, in the sixth and seventh rounds, battered him until his corner threw in the towel in round 7.
