I don't know that folks truly appreciate Mr. Donaire's career. The man always looks to challenge himself, set the bar for clean boxing and is going out like a warrior moving down to face a killer like Monster. Hats off to a 1st ballot HOF'er and a favorite of mine. Shock the world or pass the baton.

A 2 fight main card on a Thrusday that begins at 2am? Probably gonna miss it.

100% agreed with this. Donaire is a throwback in that when he was crushing folks, he still kept fighting top opponents. When he started to decline, he still went after top opponents and not soft touches. Donaire's career has matched his skills and ability, and I appreciate that he has given boxing fans a decade plus of super engaging fights.

Donaire is up against it tomorrow, but hope he can put on a show against a beast.

Good effort from Takuma. I didn't think the cards were that wide.

That was the fight of the year. We'll have to talk about more later. Nice to wake up to something like this on Thursday morning. Nonito fought bravely. Don't see how he survived the 11th round. Inoue had to survive either the 9th or 10th - I can't remember. Fight continues the trend of a great smaller man beating a good bigger man (Loma-Linares, Pacquiao-Thurman, Ward-Kovalev, Canelo-Kovalev).

I give Nonito huge props. He came to win, and almost did. Inoue is a spitfire but the left hook to the body was noticeably absent and then he finally landed it and it put Nonito down. What a great fight.

Very good fight, both guys gave it their all and Donaire was a pleasant surprise. He was rather fortunate not to be stopped in the 11th though--the ref gave him a LOT of time...like 15 seconds on his knee, after the ref already stepped in and stopped the action (without starting a count) when Nonito was turning his back and running to the corner.

Now we need Inoue vs Nery !

close fight, Donaire gave a great account of himself. Inoue is good but gets hit pretty easily.

Donaire able to last the distance, and hang as well as he did with Inoue at this point in his career is a huge testament to the talent he is and has been. Tremendous career he's had. This is likely one of Donaire's last major fights, but he has nothing at all to hang his head about. One of the real standouts among Boxing's little guys so far in the 21st century.

Tremendous fight. First time that I can recall Inoue getting tested in a fight and he passed. Donaire should be proud of himself though, he fought his ass off. Saying all that, I'm fairly certain he was down WAY longer than 10 seconds

Wow! That was the best little dude slugfest I've seen in forever... The championship rounds showed incredible heart and endurance by both fighters.... I think maybe the right guy won but to see the sportsmanship at the end of the fight was the kind of stuff that made me a hardcore boxing fan for life... Thanks and praise to Astor Piazzolla for posting the full fight so, that TTR members can catch the fight(s) when they can....

Big Chef approved? I've been sitting on this one, but the chef bump is going to make me watch it tonight.

I look forward to your take on the fight to make at bantamweight for 3-4 legit belts where we had the old lion vs. the young gun and the latter was tested early and often in this contest....
