Drank a ton of these at Disneyland's California Adventure

Red Hook Pumpkin Porter has a good flavor IMOregulardude wrote:What are some of your favorite Oktoberfest beers?
I'm liking a Virginia-based brewery, Legend. Their version of a marzen/Oktoberfest beer is ridiculously tasty. Very malty.
I had the Great Lakes Oktoberfest, and while it was good, I was a bit underwhelmed. May have to give it another shot.
Anyone had Brooklyn Brewery's Oktoberfest? Wanna try that one...

Brooklyn Oktoberfest is pretty good too. And Sam Oktoberfest is always a safe bet. I like it better on tap than in the bottle though.

I have this shit downstairs in my fridge. Drank four of them on Sunday while putting up the Christmas lights and I had to finish the lights on Monday. 9.9% alcohol!!! Should have read the label first. Holy shit. Not a huge fan of this, had to drink it really cold to enjoy it.gomez1012 wrote:Drank a ton of Brown Shugga this past week watching football. Pretty hoppy brew. Smooth tho.regulardude wrote:Gomez, I've always wanted to try that beer, but I know Lagunitas is known for its hoppy beers. How hoppy is it? I really like malty, sweet beers instead of bitter, hoppy beers.
How does this one shape up?
And yeah like J'Hardcore suggested, gotta have them real cold. I pour them into a chilled glass. I love all of the Lagunita brews

It's not super Hoppy. I thought it was more boozy and sweet. This shit is good if you don't want to feel feelings for a while. Duder, send the kid over to Grandma's and whack down a sixer in 9 months baby Duder will have a sibling.gomez1012 wrote:Pretty hoppy brew. Re: OT: The beer thread
Wife bought me a bottle of Chimay Vintage for Xmas, good but a little too heavy & fruity for my taste.
Not wanting to be blasphemous but for $20, I'd rather have had a couple of bottles of Brut from Chef's neck of the woods.

I bought Kirkland Light Beer today from Costco out of pure curiosity. It was 20 bucks for 48 beers. It's as awful as one would expect a 42 cent beer to be but it's 42 cents a beer. I'll keep you guys updated on how much I drink lol.

I drank three of them. I don't feel good about it. Both mentally and physically.

Better or worse than Keystone, do you think? I used to drink those Keystones like crazy, it's not like they're real beer but they drink pretty good in the summer heat.hardcorebee24 wrote:I drank three of them. I don't feel good about it. Both mentally and physically.

Yeah, shitty like that. Keystone, Natural Lite, Milwaukees Best. They're definitely tapping the frat boy market here.Cagiva9 wrote:Better or worse than Keystone, do you think? Worst beer I ever had, Rainier Ice
and that's coming from someone that once drank a case of warm Pabst Genuine Draft in the desert
Great beer I tried recently was 'Back in Black' from 21st Amendment brewery in San Francisco. Very good if you like dark beers.
