Froch decisions Kessler

Post by 5_burowz »

I'm taking Frochy by knockout. The mass destruction of Bute showed me another side of Froch. A side that can really put the foot on the gas and take somebody out should he choose to. I am not impressed by Kessler's win over Green or Magee. Froch has proven more, IMO.

Kessler UD. Froch is the same. Kessler is the same. And Kessler is better than Froch.

I think that's what everyone wants to think. But it's fool's gold. Froch's had as many unimpressive fights as impressive ones since the Kessler fight. And Kessler hasn't fought much, but when he has he looked good.

Yeah co sign. He's fought 3 times in three years and destroyed a bunch of b class fighters. Tough to know where he's at.

As for froch, there's no shame in losing to ward. I thought he fared better then Kessler did, having problems with old man Johnson scares me a bit though.

Shit I thought Kessler was about 3-4 years older, had no idea he's actually a year younger.

Kessler's demise has been greatly exaggerated. He's an elite fighter who had a stretch of injuries. That's all. Even if Froch wins, it'll be a closely contested world class fight.

Johnson won 3 rounds at most that night imo

Going with Froch by stoppage late. I think he is the same but kessler is fading.

In last 3 years he has fought 13 rounds against mediocre opposition. Who knows what Kessler has left?

yeah exactly... i'm thinking he'll struggle even more to make weight and like vs Green, his chin might be affected. Froch has polished his style a little and seems to be even more confident in his pop at elite...

I think Froch might even stop Kessler

It will be another close fight in which I think Kessler wins but he wont get the close dec. I agree with Erison in that their the same fighters as before. Kessler just has the better skills.

i know, i meant to refer to that fight that Green was able to rock Kessler. IMO at 168, it might be even easier since he might struggle to make weight more than in the 1st meeting

Correct Green came in at 171 and Kessler at 169.

I think people are writing their own story again. There was a thread here flat out calling Kessler a pussy and predicting he'd hide in Denmark with his new belt. A few hours later he announced he was fighting Froch in England, and NOBODY changed their stance. They just went from directly calling him a pussy, to calling him a pussy through their fight predictions.

That accusation was crazy. He fought Mundine in Australia, Calzaghe in England, Ward in Oakland, and Haussler in Germany. In the history of the divison only Kessler, Froch, Ward, Beyer, Calzaghe, and Lacy have even attempted to unify titles and Kessler has fought them all except for Lacy.

Whether he wins another fight or not in his career, i think the man has proven hes no coward.

Based off the damage froch was able to do in the first fight I like him to win by tko stoppage late in the fight. Kessler fought bravely when he had to in the first fight but he looked like was ready to fall at points if froch had pressed the fight a bit more. It should be highly competitive..................
