Re: OT: NBA thread
Jj the george acquisition is great. Awesome pickup by okc. Not sure how anyone could think otherwise.

I didn't want him on the Celtics if the ask was too much, but for Oladipo and Sabonis???J.J.Dillon wrote:Tellin' y'all...George is overrated.

That's a no brainer. 6'9 shooter who can handle the rock and create his own shot.

Best part of it is that his game would seem to fit very well with RussObJuan13 wrote:I didn't want him in the Celtics if the ask was too much, but for Oladipo and Sabonis???J.J.Dillon wrote:Tellin' y'all...George is overrated.

Re: OT: NBA thread
Everyone wants both of the big picks the C's are holding, plus more. And there's no guarantee George wouldn't be a 1-year rental.
I'm good on passing on that.

Re: OT: NBA thread
But there might have been a package that was significantly less than that but still better than Oladipo's contract and Sabonis as it could be a 1 year rental. Or, Boston gets to be on the verge of title contender status and George signs a longer deal. I am thinking though, Ainge is thinking Hayward is coming to Celtics.J.J.Dillon wrote:Everyone wants both of the big picks the C's are holding, plus more. The guy they really lost out on was butler
Re: OT: NBA thread
I hear you, didn't want them to give up those high lottery picks, but Bradley with his expiring contract (easy for Indy to re-sign him), Crowder and the Memphis pick should have done the trick. The C's do have a log jam at the 3 spot though with Tatum, Brown, Crowder and possibly Heyward so I get it, but my goodness, when the fuck is Danny gonna do anything with all of these assets?? I'm thinking he has his heart set on Anthony Davis and honestly he already has enough to make that trade happen so he might as well just do the damn thingJ.J.Dillon wrote:Everyone wants both of the big picks the C's are holding, plus more. LOL, Sacramento. Never change, you losers:
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/1979 ... x-contract
The Sacramento Kings have offered Washington Wizards restricted free agent Otto Porter Jr. a max contract during their meeting Sunday, league sources told ESPN.
A max offer for Porter would be in the range of four years and approximately $106.5 million.
I love it. 106 million for an untested RFA.

"double sign-and-trade", according to ESPN and SBNation...
Nuggets get: Paul Milsap
Clippers get: Danilo Galinari
Hawks get: Diamond Stone, Jamal Crawford, future first-round pick from LAC.

Patrick Beverly, Danilo Galinari, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan...looks like yet another team leapfrogged the Thunder.
Re: OT: NBA thread
West was already dominant, only getting moreso. If Hayward stays in the west it will be absurd.

Re: OT: NBA thread
No shooting guard, ..2 power forwards (one who is hurt frequently), a center who is likely useless unless there is a point guard who knows how to distribute properly...what are you seeing with LAC JJ?
I still think Boston needs to do something. Wonder if they're waiting on the Cousins/Davis experiment to fail and pluck one of them mid-season.

Re: OT: NBA thread
I'm seeing a chance to fuck with Sooner, of course.
Nothing matters until around game #50 of the regular season. From now until then, it's all smacktalk.
And supposedly, the C's have a deal with Hayward and yes, they'll probably try to move their assets near the deadline to get Davis or Cousins. Though I really hope not Cousins.

Gordon Hayward: 4 years, $128 million to join the Celtics
Patrick Patterson: 3 years, $16.4 million to join the Thunder
Z-Bo: 2 years, $24 million to join the Kings
George Hill: 3 years, $57 million to join the Kings
Nets offer RFA Otto Porter Jr. 4 years, $106 million. Wizards say they will match.

Golden State looking to offer Jamal Crawford the mid-level exception if he can get a buyout from Atlanta...if not, then they'll go for Nick Young.

They got Nick Young according to ESPN.
The fighters he's beaten aren't even household names in their own household.

Re: OT: NBA thread
isnt george going to the lakers next year - its just a rental for okc, no?

Re: OT: NBA thread
All signs point to him going to LA, still a smart move by okc. He's wayyyy better than Oladipo and if he leaves they have money to spend.babak wrote:isnt george going to the lakers next year - its just a rental for okc, no?
