As Eric Armit reported earlier this week, after Munoz lost his mouthpiece during the 8th round, the bout was temporarily stopped. At that time, Quinones stumbled to the wrong corner. When referee Leonel Mercado instructed him to go to a neutral corner, he did so on visibly unsteady legs.
When the bout resumed, Munoz landed a few jabs and Quinones collapsed and was counted out. Quinones was later taken to a nearby hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
Quinones was in a medically induced coma for five days before passing away at the age of 25.

Dang!
Maybe saved by the bell on the count but some type of action should of been rendered in between the round.
