- As reported by Eric Armit, after Munoz lost his mouthpiece and action was stopped during the 8th round, Quinones stumbled to the wrong corner. When referee Leonel Mercado instructed him to go to a neutral corner, he did so on unsteady legs. After the bout resumed, Munoz landed a few jabs. Quinones collapsed and was counted out. Quinones was later taken to a nearby hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
- Quinones was in a medically induced coma for five days before passing away at the age of 25. R.I.P.

- Stevenson, The Ring and the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board World junior lightweight champion, dropped Conceicao with a body shot near the end of the fourth round.
- Stevenson was penalized one point for tossing Conceicao to the canvas in round 9. He was warned for doing it again in round 10.
- The scores were 117-109, 118-108, and 117-109. With Stevenson winning, the Lineal, WBO, and WBC World titles remain vacant.
