Re: Wilder to face Helenius in October?

So if they can make it enough of a no win situation for Wilder does a victory by him change any minds?
I think the test is there personally, would enjoy seeing another run from "The Bronze Bomber" but can also agree with putting a fight against Ruiz on ice.

Helenius seemed to have found his grove back...the counters should be a problem for Wilder. But Wilder has the reach and pop to make the damaged Helenius resurface.

Good test to see if Wilder is serious

Perfect opponent for Wilder to get back in the game. Helenius is a dangerous enough cat, that you can't just completely ignore him, but Wilder should have almost every physical advantage here. He's faster. He's longer. He'll get there first.

My thinking is this is either a 1st round KO demolition for Wilder. or Helenius hangs around a while, and it becomes a firefight with both guys getting rocked and hurt, and anybody can win if it gets like that.

I'd still favor Wilder should it become a firefight, but it becomes more dangerous obviously the longer Helenius hangs around.

Good fight for Wilder, and overall it's a good match up. I hope Wilder wins so I can see him fight Joshua in a year or two. The heavyweight division has provided us some great fights in the past few years. These guys need to fight more than once a year.

Two guys coming off of knockout losses, headlining and co-headlining a PPV event.

This is what the once great sport of boxing has deteriorated to....

That's a great weight for Wilder. He has more than enough power under 220.

Wilder was super patient and Helenius stalked him into a trap and got ktfo by a short right with 5 sec left

This guy has the most devastating right hand I’ve ever seen

Even his short punches land like bombs. Wasn’t a good looking punch either.. I still think he beats Usyk… and AJ only has a punchers chance

Wilder-Ruiz seems like the natural next fight. The biggest in-house PPV PBC can do, while the kings Fury and Usyk hopefully fight for the undisputed.

They should do the following 8 man tournament :D

Kings Fury-Usyk for the undisputed
Wilder-Ruiz for the PBC champ
Joshua-Joyce for the J champ
Hrgovic-Dubois to clear the mandatory and WBA secondary belt

Well, Nordic Nightmare still makes sense, if he's having nightmares of that right hand

Wilder is phenomenal. I’m still looking for a good angle on that short right hand. I hope there was a camera on Wilders right side

It sure looked like Helenius was experiencing serious rapid eye movement when his azz was out cold staring up at the rafters
