RIP Rimmy

Just learned Rimmy had passed more than a year ago. A very sad news... only 36. I just automatically right away thought about his parents who just lost their 2nd son... must be terrible.

While he wasn't loved by everyone here, you still have to respect he was a top reg on ESPN and TTR... One of the founding members of TTR. Part of the good observers of the sport and like him or not, a big part of the first decade on TTR as far as day to day chat.

Very sad news

36... geez... so disappointed... TTR has been fun but losing regs although not posting anymore on TTR is hard. I have had some great discussions with Rimmy and we both considered each other friends... very sad

Sorry to hear. I wonder what happened that cut his life so short.

As you say, it must be devastating to his parents to have outlived 2 of their 3 children.

RIP…

Yeah all left for different reasons but they left and left for good - there are a lot of guys who made up the core here who left and have vanished

The fighters he's beaten aren't even household names in their own household.

Life here on earth has it's days numbered.
Enjoy each one and treat it as a gift.
I remember early on when he revealed to me his father was a huge Bruce fan, I sent him a crap load of bootleg and rare outtake CD's so he could give them to his dad. He added it to some other stuff to give him on his birthday, told me that his father really enjoyed them. Rimmy could get along with most anybody if you established a one on one dialogue with him. Though he would often let his influence be driven by other posters.
I am always saddened to learn of anyone who has crossed my path in some sort passing away.
Here's To You RimmyJice.

Erison left when the 2nd wave of espn posters arrived. Duder and Rimmy stayed. Duder and Rimmy left around the time Trump got elected.

"We tend to think of COVID as primarily a respiratory disease but the truth is that coronavirus patients are up to three times more likely to have a stroke or heart attack,” he added. “All the evidence shows that the virus severely damages the blood vessels or the endothelial cells that line the blood vessels.

I don’t know what killed Rimmy, probably unrelated, but a friend sent me this link after my issues. Just because you have “recovered”, doesn’t mean you are out of the woods, apparently.

I remember him being one of few who predicted exactly how calzaghe v lacy would go - which given the sentiment at the time was impressive

Then i looked and that was 15 damn years ago!

Sad news. Covid is no joke. I got it in August. Really bad. Covid pneumonia. Could of died from it. In reference to old posters and the board. I imagine they still lurk although they may not post. I hardly post but I still browse the board daily.

Just saw this, damn. RIP Rimmy
"He's a fighter, I'm a fighter, if I'm better on that day, I win. That's just the way it goes. Someday, every fighter loses. Sooner or later, somebody comes along and they got your ticket. Too old, just wasn't your day, whatever the reason is. In the end, everybody gets beaten. The most you can hope for is that you stay on top a while. Be the best."
