Both like to fight on the inside... Takam's only shot is to land the liver shot... But IMO Joyce will be more efficient and will grind a TKO

Joyce scores a stoppage in the 6th, wobbling Takam and following up with a barrage. It was a debatable stoppage and Takam was very upset

Up till that point I had Takam ahead 4-1, he couldn't miss with the looping right hands. Joyce's defense was pretty much non-existant.

I know Joyce is more effective than he looks, and he's clearly a powerful guy with a good engine, but I struggle to see him beating top fighters.

I had less problem with this stoppage than I had with the stoppage against Joshua. Joshua was spent, his attack was sputtering to a near stop, I saw no sign that Joyce was going to relent anytime soon.

Takam (or Povetkin) of 5-6 years ago, probably wins a wide decision or even stops Joyce. Joyce is just too slow to deal with anyone not rooted in front of him.

I said the same thing about him before he fought Dave Debois and Debois would stop him pretty early because his chin will be right there for the big punch. Yet this guy continues to win. Maybe he has developed great timing.

Well, to be fair, for as slow as he is, he is actually quite an accurate puncher. He seems like a better version of Breazeale to me.....

Underwater Big George with another win. I like watching the big kid fight. If you can't keep his pace or stop him, he rolls you right over.

I may be in the minority here: But I like Joyce.

Yeah...he's slow, limited, plodding, methodical to fault, and is really easy to hit. But I think there's ALWAYS a place in boxing, for true-blue tough guys. And I think Joyce is a real tough guy, and a bit of a throwback. And in today's boxing, we have a lot of cutesy type guys, that can be flat out, 'out-toughed' by a guy like Joyce. He just keeps coming, and coming...and if you don't stop him, he's going to roll right over you. And he has enough power to bludgeon you into submission.

Now can he handle the AJ's, Fury's, or Wilder's of the division? Probably not. But he can definitely compete with the Whyte's, Andy Ruiz's, and maybe the Luis Ortiz's of the division.

But he's an easy guy to root for, so I hope he's as successful as he can be.

I like him too. He has his own style. Like Margarito, Foreman in molasses hybrid. Very unique.

He ain’t special, but he’s a throwback pro. He’s gonna fight period and I respect that. He’ll eventually get a title shot and I think he’ll show up to fight and that’s all I can ask for a guy as limited as him
