Being a fan of Conor Mcgregor is a Rollercoaster
I was thinking about this and being a fan of Conor McGregor, is such a rollercoaster.
I say that, because I love when he fights, he doesn't put on a boring show. I also like when he trash talks at times, but the things he said about Dustin's wife, I just don't agree with. I think Conor is completely wrong for that. And I don't have an issue with people calling Conor out for that.
But another thing with being a Conor fan is seeing how people react to Conor and will go at him for anything he says or does, yet pretty much let others get away with it, especially if that person is talking about Conor. I can go into detail with certain things, if people are curious, just to give somewhat of situations I'm talking about, the whole Khabib situation, and Conor and Kamaru Usman and Usman's tweet the night Conor fought Cowboy.
All this up and down shit that comes with being a fan of Conor McGregor.

No. He got his leg kick checked. Shit don't go Theisman from simply throwing that shot and the location of the break is right on for a check. Very Anderson-ish. That or he actually went into this fight with a severe fracture and hid it. That doesn't seem too probable. It gives him an out to have another decent run in UFC so it's not all bad.

If his leg got broken from because his leg kick got checked, it happened in the very beginning of the fight. And he was still using his leg. He was still kicking. The photos of Conor that you posted, that happened after he and Dustin threw punches at each other and missed.NoPropaganda 253 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 11, 2021 10:17 am No. He got his leg kick checked. Right. Injured from the check. Torque on the missed shot completed the break.

The lady giving Conor the finger in this pic is Poirier’s wife.
The fighters he's beaten aren't even household names in their own household.

Conor McGregor landed some heavy leg kicks in the early going of his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier. They did not hurt him enough to slow him down or cause him to lose power though. When the fight went to the ground, McGregor tried to do some damage from his back, but Poirier’s ground strikes were much heavier and did more damage.
The end of the fight was strange, and unfortunate, with McGregor’s ankle folding. It’s easy to understand why McGregor was angry, but there’s a pretty thick line between angry and delusional and McGregor was way over that line during his in-cage rant after the fight ended. He took shots at Poirier’s wife (which earned him a bird from Jolie Poirier) and said he was winning the fight in the first round.
McGregor’s outburst is going to the be the last image we have of him inside the octagon for quite a while and that was not a positive look. McGregor will always have his blindly faithful fans, but there are going to be those who question what his appeal was and what made them admire him.
It’s amazing to see the change in McGregor over his eight years in the UFC. Compare the image of McGregor after his first UFC win to what we saw after his loss at UFC 264. It’s really night and day and hard to explain.

Well he sucks, so there’s that? That’s what happens when you root for the Butterbean of MMA.
The guys is rich as hell and I’m genuinely happy for him for that. But he sucks and obviously so

Conor built his fanbase and reputation by talking mad sh!t and being able to back it up in explosive style - no doubt for a period he was a beast of a fighter, and he was the hero of every bully and want to be tough guy.
Now he's getting stopped continually but talks the same trash, and it just makes him look silly. Him sitting there on the canvas, screaming at everyone, was LOL.
It's a bit like the crazy homeless guy sitting on the street corner yelling conspiracy theories at passersby. Although at least that dude doesn't have a wonky leg.

It was nuts, that's for sure. And Conor deserves getting all the flack for the bullshit he spewed about Poirier’s wife. That was totally uncalled for.Tocsin wrote: ↑Sun Jul 11, 2021 8:25 pm Conor built his fanbase and reputation by talking mad sh!t and being able to back it up in explosive style - no doubt for a period he was a beast of a fighter, and he was the hero of every bully and want to be tough guy.
