Did Floyd Nearly Make $1 Billion from his last 10 fights?
So I'm on Instagram and someone essentially posted that with Floyd's last 10 fights (Mosley to Conor), he made nearly 1 billion dollars. To me, I'm not seeing it. Can anyone help me understand this, because if it's true he made that much over his last 10 fights, I want to see how.

I know Floyd made nearly $300 million for the Conor fight. Don't know about the totals for the other fights. But I know he was constantly at the top, or near the top of highest paid athletes over the last decade.

In this Forbes article from 2018, it states Floyd earned over $1billlion up to date
https://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbadenh ... 6a8c66e4d3
Even if a little off, Floyd probably did not make $1b in his last 10 fights since this article states in the last 15, revenues from PPV is $1.7b

Re: Did Floyd Nearly Make $1 Billion from his last 10 fights?
I know between the fight with Conor and Manny, he made at least 500 million. And I've seen 3 other possible numbers for his fights with Canelo, Ortiz, and Mosley. I saw he made 80 million against Canelo and 40 million each for Ortiz and Mosley. Now just those fights right there, 660 million if those are accurate. Then you got the 32 million guarantee for each of the other five fights which brings in another 160 million and that brings the total to 820 million. And with the Cotto fight I know he made more money, possibly another 18 million is my assumption. But since he's alleged to have made at least 915 million over these 10 fights, I am wondering where the other 77 million is, because that 77 million is then split between the fights with Maidana, Guerrero, and Berto. And considering how those fights didn't do so well on PPV, I just wonder where all the rest of the money came from.Hillsinitialrebirth wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 10:37 pm I know Floyd made nearly $300 million for the Conor fight. Re: Did Floyd Nearly Make $1 Billion from his last 10 fights?
I think people were going off another Forbes article about highest paid athletes in the last decade and they mention him at 915 million, because the actual post on Instagram I saw was someone screenshotting a post from Twitter, and the post on Twitter is showing about his last 10 fights, how many punches he landed, and how much each landed punch earned Floyd and 915 million was that number. And with Forbes, they tend to usually be right, but considering the numbers of 4 of Floyd's fights with showtime, it makes me question the number. It's that or there's something I'm missing from all of this.Danielk015 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 11:27 pm In this Forbes article from 2018, it states Floyd earned over $1billlion up to date

900+ MIL absolutely, positively qualifies as “nearly” a billion dollarsTheSickness316 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 11:30 pmI know between the fight with Conor and Manny, he made at least 500 million. Hard to debate with the nearly premise.
One thing isn't up for reasonable debate, he has been able to monetize his abilities better than any other athlete in the history of combat sports. In that, Floyd's the goat. The man can hustle.

For this last exhibition Floyd was guaranteed $10M and 50% of PPV profits.
He made $9M or $10M guaranteed in Japan for his exhibition there.

You're right. The numbers didn't add up to me so I just wanted to see if I was missing something. And you're definitely right about Floyd making his money. He's right up there Jordan, and Tiger.NoPropaganda 253 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 8:12 am Hard to debate with the nearly premise.

Now, if that is added, I can see where that extra money that seems to be missing.Primetyme199 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 8:22 amCould be endorsements, sponsorships and things like that.TheSickness316 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 11:30 pmI know between the fight with Conor and Manny, he made at least 500 million. If he made 300 Mil for the Conor fight then hell that would've made him over halfway to a Billion just from the Pac and Conor fights alone.TheSickness316 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 4:29 pm100 million was his guarantee for the fight with Conor.gilgamesh wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 1:45 pmI thought it was 300 Mil for Pac, and in the 100 Mil range for Conor?Hillsinitialrebirth wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 10:37 pm I know Floyd made nearly $300 million for the Conor fight. What I've read is based on those 2 fights it is 500 million. It's just I don't know about the whole 915 million that people are saying. I feel there's at least 77 million unaccounted for.gilgamesh wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 8:52 pmIf he made 300 Mil for the Conor fight then hell that would've made him over halfway to a Billion just from the Pac and Conor fights alone.TheSickness316 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 4:29 pm100 million was his guarantee for the fight with Conor.
