Adonis Stevenson's Mother Is Suing His Ex Over Missing Money

Former WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson has not made any public statements on the matter, but it's been revealed that his mother filed a lawsuit on his behalf, against the boxer's former fiance/wife Simone God.

The lawsuit is alleging that God withdrew $891,000 from the boxer's personal account without permission. Stevenson and God appear to have split in early December.

Stevenson's promoter, Yvon Michel, conducted an interview with TVA Sports, and says the former champion will soon present his version of the facts.

"What I can tell you is that Adonis is fine. He is well surrounded and advised. He will soon make a public statement to present his point of view on the situation. Simone God said many things from her perspective. Adonis will now be able to give his version,” Michel said.

According to Yvon Michel, despite the financial losses he suffered, Stevenson is still well off.

"Adonis is not on the street, he still has a lot of money, but not enough for the rest of his life," Michel said. "In the past year, there has been a significant leakage of money, but the gap is now closed."
