It was not a definite list... We can add more to it!

Doing the today in boxing history thread i read that many considered Leonard vs hagler the biggest comeback in history... But heard recently many say Tyson's comeback was one of the ATG comebacks... so let's discuss which one is considered greater by members!

You're right... I guess Fury's comeback feels more short track to the top as for Foreman it was a several years and 20+ fights comeback to the top...

I thought that the Sugar Ray fight was a greater comeback... I don't think most picked him to win, whereas I think that few picked Sugar Ray to win.

If you want to go with biggest comeback during one fight. I'd go with Pac/JMM 1.

Biggest comeback I've seen in one fight is where a guy got dropped 4 times in round 2 and then came back to win by KO in round 3. This was the first WBA super bantamweight title fight.

Also, Jozsef Nagy got dropped 5 times in the first 5 rounds by Zack Mwekassa, but survived to stop an exhasuted Mwekassa in the 6th round. I've never seen the full fight though

And then of course John David Jackson vs Jorge Castro. Jackson hadn't lost a round on 2 cards and looked on verge of stopping Castro in the 9th....

That's a good one, Roc

And, yes, Leanord over Hagler is a much bigger upset all things considered.

Abraham and Pavlik also had good comebacks over Taylor.

One of the better ones that I didn’t enjoy much when it was happening was Brewster v. Wlad I.

I could be misremembering on the Abraham-Taylor one and just recalling the ending as feeling sudden. May be mixing it and the Dirrell fight into one in my head too.

I thought I dropped Ward/Sanchez in here. I remember Lampley was writing Mikey off, Ledderman too. Roy a bit before it happened was telling them not to count him out just yet. Sanchez folded in half like a pancake from that punch.
