1 dominant promotion ... UFC type monopoly
Re: Improve boxing thread
I don't think it's possible at this point but that would be my pick

No fighting for vacant titles if you haven't fought in that division.

No more draws. If the judges score a draw, fight another round to determine a winner.
Re: Improve boxing thread
One boxing commission that handles all rankings, judges and refs .... I also like one belt per division...

Tie Bob Arum, Don King, and the rest of the cockblocking promoters together and toss them off a high bridge into a crocodile-filled river.
For clarification, I have included an instructional video:

1 Managing Organization - this takes care of:
1. Rankings
2. Human Resources (insurance, retirement, etc.)
3. Fighter safety/rules
4. Oversight of referees/judges
5. Mandatories
6. Purse bids/negotiations
Yeah... I know, that is kind of cheating.
But I want fighters to be safe/cared for, negotiations to be transparent and fair, oversight of those watching the fights, and competitive fights. I think that one management organization could make that happen.

Put all fights on one network
Re: Improve boxing thread
Yeah... that’s a sneaky good one that I never thought of for some reason. I think it would fix a lot of problems.
Re: Improve boxing thread
that's what my gameplan would end up making happening... the Boxer's network... where all Boxer title association fights happen...
All around the clock boxing from all corners of the world... one price... and profits going to the right place.

Re: Improve boxing thread
one sanctioning body that orders fights for champions. this comes with one belt per division and you fight the #1 contender. no ifs ands or buts.
"He's a fighter, I'm a fighter, if I'm better on that day, I win. That's just the way it goes. Someday, every fighter loses. Sooner or later, somebody comes along and they got your ticket. Too old, just wasn't your day, whatever the reason is. In the end, everybody gets beaten. The most you can hope for is that you stay on top a while. Be the best."
