Paulie loses his Bare Knuckle Debut & Retires Saturday
https://mmajunkie.com/2019/05/video-pau ... wsource=cl
NEW YORK – It’s official now, with a location and everything: Paulie Maligniaggi and Artem Lobov will headline Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 6 on June 22 at Florida State Fairgrounds Entertainment Hall in Tampa, Fla.
But before the two heated rivals step inside the ring, they held a news conference on Monday at Dave & Buster’s in Times Square, and it went how you’d expect. Neither former boxing champion Malignaggi nor former UFC fighter Lobov had anything nice to say about each other. There was lots of swearing and lots of name-calling.
BKFC president David Feldman attempted to square off the fighters at the conclusion of the news conference. Malignaggi and Lobov faced off but had to be separated as they continuously jawed and pointed fingers at each other. Then Malignaggi spit on Lobov, and that was the end of it.
You can watch it unfold in the video above (Warning: Lots of NSFW language).

The fighters he's beaten aren't even household names in their own household.

Paulie is dumb... he will screw up his broadcasting meal ticket soon...

i'll watch the next BKB event... it's not GREAT... but it has my attention... The skills disparity for the full undercard compared to the main event was HUGE... they need to improve on that

BKFC 6 fighters will wear gloves, but it ‘will have knuckles exposed’ according to Florida commission
https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2019/5/23/1 ... d-mma-news
BKFC 6 will combined traditional striking gloves with a bare knuckle flair.
The Florida State Boxing Commission’s Communications requires all fighters to wear some sort of glove. There is no requirement, however, on the design of the glove. The commission's director explained how BKFC in Tampa, Florida would operate in a statement published by Adam LeBarr.
“The statute does not require the glove looks a certain way or even cover the knuckle. All the statue requires is the glove be a certain way, be sanitary and in good condition,” the statement read. “The executive director of the Florida State Boxing Commission has the discretion to approve all equipment, including gloves. Accordingly, the commission has approved a glove for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship that leaves the knuckles exposed.”
“It (the glove) will have knuckles exposed,” the director assured.

BKFC 6 will be headlined by a grudge match between WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi and Conor McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov. The co-main event boasts TUF alum Chris Leben vs. Bellator veteran Brennan Ward.

Randall Bailey & Paulie make their Bare Knuckle Debut •Live@9pm•
https://www.badlefthook.com/2019/6/5/18 ... malignaggi
Paulie Malignaggi won’t be the only former world champion on the June 22nd Bare Knuckle FC show, as 44-year-old Randall Bailey has reportedly joined the promotion and, according to a press release, will face 24-year-old Brazilian MMA fighter Daniel Santos in his 155-pound debut.
Bailey (46-9, 39 KO) retired from the sport in 2016 after a loss to Jeff Horn, capping a 20-year pro career that saw him win titles at super lightweight and welterweight. “The KO King” was forever held back by stamina and durability issues, but remains one of the most ferocious punchers to enter the squared circle in recent memory. Even if this turns out to be more a sideshow attraction than a genuine effort, the idea of eating one of his right hands bare-knuckle is nightmare-inducing.
I’d talk about Daniel Santos here, but I’m not actually sure which Daniel Santos it is. My best guess would be 6-1 Daniel “Willycat” Santos, who is the correct age, but Santos normally fights at 135 pounds and is already booked for a June 28th MMA fight in Sao Paulo. This was probably a more lucrative option, though.
BKFC 6, headlined by Malignaggi’s bout with Conor McGregor protege Artem Lobov, also features UFC veteran Chris Leben and the finals of the promotion’s lightweight tournament.

Maybe, because I haven’t heard a peep from the guy since.
Re: Randall Bailey makes bare knuckle debut June 22nd
He has a low rate but the format will help him... he is the type of guy they want in this... concussive power... They had Curtis Stevens fighting once too in the previous events.

Re: Randall Bailey makes bare knuckle debut June 22nd
I remember years ago they tried to do bareknuckle boxing but all it was that the knuckle part of the glove was exposed. I thought this was the same thing until I heard about Paulie and Lobov and all that noise. I still can't believe this sanctioned. Maybe only outside of the US, I haven't been paying a lot of attention.
I vaguely remember Bailey fights, just came back from youtube and saw the Mike Jones fight. Hope they have ambulances and EMTs ringside.

Depends on where the event is held. I think in florida they require a glove but dont specify which so they will go ahead with thr gloves but exposed knuckles again...CageyVeteran wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 2:10 pm I remember years ago they tried to do bareknuckle boxing but all it was that the knuckle part of the glove was exposed. Most interesting thing that's on tonight, and this is probably the one that has captured fight fans attention the most. Bailey being on the card is cool.

Randall Bailey...without "gloves" ... can't wait to see this.
