Golovkin won but has noticeably slowed from what I see. If they rematch in May, I wouldn't be surprised to see Alvarez beat him, as Golovkin will likely continue to decline, and Alvarez is in the middle of his prime. If Alvarez didn't have such shitty stamina, I think he very likely would have won tonight, as all things equal, the stylistic matchup actually favors his counterpunching style IMO, but Golovkin is just so strong and relentless and Alvarez gets so easily winded. Reminded me a bit of Margarito-Cotto, although Alvarez is far more durable than Cotto, and Golovkin not quite the non-stop punch giving and eating machine that Margarito was, but much heavier handed.

He was consistently beating Triple to the punch early, and the "oohs and ahhs" punches were landed by Canelo. Canelo's face didn't look to to have a mark on it after the fight.
