If this fight was at Cruiseweight I'd think Bellew has a chance but this bout will be contested at Heavyweight.....

Haye Knocks him out cold... Bellew can be effective if he can drag you in a brawl or if you let him land power shots in combos... But Haye will play it smart and knock him out like Stevenson did.

Can't wait, Haye pretty much laid out a path to fight him then goes against his own word, he prolly shellacks Shannon but he must lack the confidence.

The great Haye con job continues.
Re: David Haye vs. Tony Bellew confirmed
That's a stretch man.... Haye's had loads of success as an amateur and a pro becoming unified Cruiser weight champ and WBA Heavyweight champ too...... He was a theater major in college so, that's where his showmanship comes into play w/ his persona......Canvas wrote:The great Haye con job continues.

Re: David Haye vs. Tony Bellew confirmed
Haye's pretty much a pure prize fighter these days and doesn't seem to pretend too hard to be much else. Nothing wrong with that. I reckon Bellew realizes he's getting older himself as well and sees this as a good shot to make good money while not risking his title. I expect Haye to knock him out quick, particularly given that Bellew is already a bit soft at cruiser.

Haye blows Bellew away whenever he feels like it. I'd love to be wrong. I can't stand David Haye, but I don't think Tony Bellew is in Haye's class.

Re: David Haye vs. Tony Bellew confirmed
He was the legit cruiserweight champ, I agree with that.. His career as a heavyweight has been all smoke and mirrors. His WBA trinket was meaningless and won via a dubious decision vs Valuev in one of the worst fights I have ever seen. Haye ran the whole fight and landed one big punch that rocked Valuev yet somehow got the decision. Haye then managed to shit-talk his way into a payday vs Wlad in which he disgraced himself by blaming his wide points loss on his little toe. Other than that, he has fought hand picked bums that would make Wilder proud. He has repeatedly pulled out of fights with Wlad and Fury. He has managed to grift the gullible British public out of millions of dollars mainly by running his mouth.chef97 wrote:That's a stretch man.... Just a few of Haye's lies:
-Was going to make the heavyweight division exciting again.
-Was going to clean out the division and only fight the biggest fights
-Was going to knock out the Klitschkos and send them into retirement
-Was going to become unified undisputed heavyweight champion
-Vowed to retire as champ by age 30
Re: David Haye vs. Tony Bellew confirmed
David Haye also defended his WBA title vs. John Ruiz..... But you're right he didn't do a fraction of what he said he'd do as a heavyweight....Canvas wrote:He was the legit cruiserweight champ, I agree with that.. Re: David Haye vs. Tony Bellew confirmed
I'm rooting for Big Glass.
Re: David Haye vs. Tony Bellew confirmed
Easy fight for Haye. Belle isn't that good, but he's solid. Haye was just one of the better cruiserweight to fight in the weight.
Re: David Haye vs. Tony Bellew confirmed
David Haye had the talent to be a really good fighter but he fought Wlad like a pussy. Lost a ton of respect for him after that. Seems his heart was never in it after that fight.
Re: David Haye vs. Tony Bellew confirmed
Haye turned down eliminator fights for both the WBA and WBO trinkets in favour of fighting Bellew. I guess I can't blame him for going after the easier payday and those belts mean little anyway, but my point is that Haye has always been full of shit. More sizzle than steak.

Im leaning towards Bellew

Everyone knows the real main event on that card is Derry vs. Davies.
