GGG & 168 lb champ Gilberto Ramirez have also agreed to fight...

In 2017. After Zurdo builds up his name.

Certainly looks like an opportunity for Ramirez to supplant Canelo in the eyes of Mexican fans. 8)

Not with the opponent he has lined up on the TC/Postul card but the opportunity is most definitely there. First Chavez Jr. quits on the stool and then Canelo fucks around. The position is vacant.

Ramirez isn't ready yet either. Guaranteed DeGale and Jack would say the same thing. It's time to just accept that these guys don't want to fight Golovkin.

I honestly believe Ramirez would be ecstatic to get the fight, Arum maybe not so much.

Actually, Triple told Zurdo he needed to build up his name prior to a fight after Ramirez/Arum called out Golovkin post Abraham domination. Sounds good though. If I was Gennady I would fight this kid sooner than later. One's aging, ones progressing. Doubt the fight ever plays out with that considered.

It doesn't matter when the context is within a discussion of who Golovkin should fight next. For whatever reason, these guys won't or can't fight GGG.

At 168 GGG has plenty of takers.

Arum said he wants two more fights first. I'm not seeing where GGG told him to build his name, do you have a source? I remember reading where Loeffler said he sas looking to possibly making the Ramirez fight next, but now Bob want two more fights first.

Well whats up with Billy Joe Sanders? He has no fight scheduled and has yet to fight since December. Danny Jacobs isn't doing much either, besides a worthless rematch with Mora (in Sept or Aug) and I'm going to assume that will be his only fight this year. Sanders will probably have one fight this year as well. These guys are wasting their careers on the couch. I don't understand why Sanders, Canelo, and Jacobs haven't at least tried to negotiate fights against each other. DJ should be demanding Haymon to get him a big fight. Don these guys want more popularity and money?

I would love to see a GGG-Zurdo fight. Next year he fights Zurdo, Canelo and maybe Sanders or Jacobs and thats a helluva year for him, assuming he whoops them all.

GGG should try to get two fights this year. I mean he's not really getting into physically grueling fights and he'll probably won't get into a lot of hard fights anyways because he'll slaughter anyone from 160 and below. He should fight Eubank and Sanders this year. Sanders has been big talk this year about GGG, so GGGs people should send him an offer. I think an Eubank fight is likely GGGs fight next.

http://www.latimes.com/sports/sportsnow ... story.html Loeffler complimenting Zurdo's performance vs Abraham, stating he's a good alternative if Canelo fight falls out.
http://www.boxingscene.com/golovkin-ram ... ts--103814 Triple states he needs a few more fights.

“He’s not a big name,” Golovkin said. “I want a big name,” Golovkin.

Canelo said no, Ramirez said 2017, and Eubank appears to be next, so...what's your point?

So Loeffler said yes, and Arum said 2017. Got it.

Loeffler calls the shots on his side, Arum calls the shots on Ramirez's side. Pathetic attempt.

No. I'm genuinely curious what janitor gets the next call.

Ear muffs, buddy? Lol. So Loeffler told Triple to tell Zurdo to build up his name. Got it. I'm not trying to shit on Triple. I'm just saying water's wet.

It would be Canelo if he had some balls. Instead it might be Eubank Jr. or Tureano Johnson or someone like that.
