I'm little confused, what was the Julius Francis fight? That was Jose Ribalta on the receiving end of that uppercut from Tyson. This was the first Tyson fight I ever watched and if I'm not mistaken the first Tyson fight aired on HBO, I was 13 years old and I threw an uppercut and knocked out my aunt's coffee cup trying to emulate the punch I had just seen thrown.
Yeah Francis came much later. My mistake. I was talking to someone about decals in corners and advertisements on the bottom of boxers shoes on another forum when I clicked on to this thread and the gif made me default to Francis because of the prepaid ads on the soles of his shoes. He was decked about 5 times and all by uppercuts I think.

I still to this day can't believe Ribalta got up from that shot.

Ribalta was tough and big. I always loved the myth that Tyson couldn't fight and win against bigger fighters. He fought a lot of big guys.

Uppercuts 40 minutes worth. The opening fight is Cooper/Holy. Evander must have landed 20 or more clean.

Lewis' uppercut to Vitali was vicious.

My absolute favorite of all time. I still don't know to this day how Ribalta beat the count and lasted another 8 rounds. What a shot.

I was watching the 40 minutes of great upper-cuts. I saw the Barkley vs Van Horn fight, that also belongs under greatest left hooks. The first left hook that caught Van Horn was beautiful.

That Vitali not only didn't go down but didn't even take a step backwards is the reason Lennox retired. Not saying Lennox could not have won on points but at what cost?

 Nice try Cag. Lewis was going to retire prior to the Vitali fight. He retired on his terms with nothing left to prove and not because he was afraid of fighting a guy he just stopped.

Stopped on a cut and didn't win a single round in which Vitali's vision was not obscured.

as for retiring....not exactly

2 or 3 more meaningful fights he said...fought Vitali and was gone.
