Joshua slowly regaining control here with the big right after ducking the jab... and this is a pretty close fight
Usyk def looking to tire Joshua with some quick change of direction tactics and distance control

USYK UD
Re: USYK defeated JOSHUA
Usyk boxed great! Nice win, had AJ in trouble there to end.
Re: USYK defeated JOSHUA
Wow. Too bad I missed this. I will be looking for a replay tonight in my hotel room. Good for Usyk. Legendary career now.
Re: USYK defeated JOSHUA
insane career... great to see Vitali congradulate him... Usyk was touched
Re: USYK defeated JOSHUA
Damn Usyk just worked him. AJ had nothing left in the 11th and 12th. He was nearly stopped. Glad to see the scoring was fair for the fight. That HW division is just great to watch right now. These guys just need to fight more ofte now. AJ is great to watch even in defeat. He def becoming one of my favorites to watch even if I root against him.

Great win for Usyk. He boxed beautifully, held his ground, and stayed in AJ's kitchen all night. The man has made me a believer at HW.
Picked AJ to win, but I haven't been as happy for a guy winning in a long time, as I am for Usyk.

So Joshua choked again
Re: USYK defeated JOSHUA
More surprised than I was with the first Ruiz fight. I just couldn’t imagine Usyk avoiding Joshua’s power for 12.
I don’t know how Joshua turns this one around in a rematch.

Re: USYK defeated JOSHUA
I think his flaws were just played perfectly... Usyk had the stamina, speed and mobility advantages and he executed a perfect plan... made very little mistakes...
In a rematch, joshua would have to push for a KO

More like was out fought and out smarted…..he fought well just found what worked for him to late and ran out of steam while Usyk caught a 2nd wind and closed strong….
Much respect to both men and Usyk on making himself one of the top 2 in the sport right now IMO

Re: USYK defeated JOSHUA
However you want to look at it, Joshua choked. When it was being talked that the Wilder fight might happen in 2019 if both men won their upcoming bouts, Joshua lost to Ruiz. Now he has the big fight with Fury on the horizon, and he needs to win this fight, he again loses. Joshua is showing when he has that big time coming up and he just needs to win the fight the I guess you can say tune up fight, and I'm only saying tune up because I can't think of a better way to say it and this is the only thing that I could think of, but he lost. So he choked.marciano1952 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 6:05 pmMore like was out fought and out smarted…..he fought well just found what worked for him to late and ran out of steam while Usyk caught a 2nd wind and closed strong….

Re: USYK defeated JOSHUA
One would think the talk of this guy being the best in this era would subside. Though for some if he eeks out the rematch he will be the cats meow again

Re: USYK defeated JOSHUA
I think choke kinda implies that a guy should've won, but he underperformed due to pressure. But watching that, I'm not sure Joshua giving his best performance could beat Usyk. The movement and boxing skills, along with the stamina, were all wrong for him, and really showed his weaknesses.
I thought AJ would beat Ruiz in the rematch, because AJ was caught rushing in wildly in the first fight when he had the ability to win comfortably using a more intelligent approach, but it's more of a struggle to see how he could reverse the Usyk loss
