Cajun Spice Honey Marinade/Glaze for grilling

Post by chef97 »

Recipe is plenty to marinade 2 Lb of either Chicken, Pork or Fresh Fish.....

Ingredients:

1/3 cup fresh minced garlic
1/2 cup Cajun Spice Blend (you can purchase "Cajun spice" at your local grocer)
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup honey
1/2 cup orange juice
Juice from one fresh lemon
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro or flat parsley
salt and black pepper to taste

Procedure:

1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well as to incorporate all ingredients then reserve 1/3 of marinade for basting...
2. Marinate your favorite protein for at least 1 hour prior to grilling...
3. Heat grill to medium high heat and cook your protein as desired for chicken or pork until when pierced juices run clear...
4. Glaze your protein with remaining marinade during the last 10 minutes cf grilling.... As always, happy cooking!

Chef's Notes: If you can't find "Cajun spice at your local grocer I have a recipe for Cajun spice but you will need a cup board with an array of spices... Anyways, should anyone need the recipe to make your own "Cajun spice" send me a PM and I will get you that recipe....
